A week tomorrow I fly out to Nepal for 4 weeks to continue documenting the religion and lifestyle of Indian Holy Men, leaving Gail at the helm here in Cardiff [as if she isnt always in charge anyway!!!]. It is my third visit to Nepal for this project and I will be focussing on events at the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu to document Saddhus who will be congregating there for the Maha Shivratri Festival. What fascinates me and what I really am looking for image wise believe it or not is the same look I see in every bride and groom when they first set eyes on each other at the alter- That look of Devotion - The eye contact between the Priest and devotee- The eye contact between lovers- There is a common link, something universal not bound by language or cultural difference.
