Wedding Photographer Prices
Our pricing is kept as simple as possible without any hidden costs or additions. Sample pricing- £1250.00 for full day coverage fully inclusive of wedding book design wedding book of your choice.
How far do you travel?
Our wedding and commercial photography means we are frequently travelling throughout the UK and abroad, it’s one of the things that makes our job so interesting meeting new and interesting people in new and interesting places!
No distance is too far, however we strongly advise that an overnight stay (Travel Lodge or equivalent) the night before the wedding is advisable if the venue is further than 60 miles from the studio.
Do you visit the venue before the wedding day?
Yes we do. If we are working at a new venue then we take time out to check it out.
A visit to the venue a couple of months before the big day also provides the opportunity of having a pre-wedding photo shoot and a chance to sit down with you and discuss the final details of the photography and running of the day.
Who will photograph my wedding?
We always always work as a team. It is almost instinctive for both of us to know where and when to photograph throughout the wedding day unobtrusively and creatively.
How many photographs do you take?
There is no set limit to the number of shots we take on your wedding day, but do expect approximately 300-500 top shots from a full day and evening coverage.
Do you retouch our wedding photographs?
Each image is individually tweaked using ‘Adobe Photoshop’ and ‘Aperture’ software programs. As our style is firmly entrenched in documentary and fine art genres we tend to retouch the images to their best without resorting to cheesy software effects. Images are photographed using the RAW format for the highest quality.
Who chooses the photographs for the album?
You choose the final shots. Of course we are here to help and advise and more often than not we are asked to draw on our knowledge and expertise in the editing process but the final decision is always yours.
Can friends and relatives order prints?
All the photographs presented in the web gallery can be ordered online in a variety of formats including framed and unframed images, digital negatives, canvas and acrylic prints ...
How do we choose our photographs?
Approximately 2 weeks after your wedding all the images are uploaded onto your password protected web gallery. You can choose your favourites and friends and relatives can view and order prints. Each image can be viewed in colour and in black and white and can be magnified to see details such as facial expressions etc.
Do we get to see a proof of the book?
Yes you do. We welcome your input throughout the design process by calling in to the studio and corresponding online. While your wedding book is being designed we will keep you updated with the work in progress. The book design will be proofed and sent for your viewing, and only when you are completely happy with the final design is it sent off to Italy to be printed and bound.
What equipment do you use?
We use the highest quality Nikon and Canon digital cameras and usually have at least four cameras at our disposal for each wedding. Our lenses are again of the highest quality Nikon and Canon glass money can buy, lens types include wide angle, standard, and telephoto lenses. Using the latest high end camera equipment benefits our practice a great deal as modern technology allows us to work unobtrusively in the darkest of environments without resorting to using flashguns [ churches etc etc].
In order to produce the best possible wedding photography we always find that it helps to describe the whole process of the photography/design we provide, this way you are never surprised and we are well prepared. We describe our wedding photography services as a four stage process:
1. The pre-wedding meeting and pre- wedding photo shoot
The pre-shoot provides the best way to get to know each other and couples can discuss in detail the running of the wedding day and can inform us of any group shots they would like taken or inform us of any special requirements for the day. It will be a totally informal affair and really good fun where you will build up your confidence on camera if needed and be given a few tips and tricks in front of the lens.
2. The Wedding Day
We arrive around two hours before the wedding service and photograph all the preparations, the build up and the excitement. The Bride always feels more relaxed with a female photographer and with the guys being photographed you will find out exactly what they get up to! We photograph through the service (if permissible) and on to the speeches, first dance and evening celebrations. If there are fireworks at midnight and you would like us to photograph the event we can be there for that too.
3. Post Wedding Day Production
Approximately two weeks after your wedding day you will receive a link and password for your online proofs allowing you to review all of your images as well as order prints. You choose your favourite selection for the wedding book itself and email it to the studio.
4. Wedding Book Design
Once you have made your choice of photographs, we start to create a bespoke set of page designs that will bring your wedding day memories to life. When you are happy with the designs, they are printed and bound into your choice of wedding book. It usually takes around 12 weeks from the time we receive your choice of images to the final presentation of the book (dependent on time of year).
